More Lottery Lotto Powerball Information and Research: Pick 4 Winning Numbers - Trend Or No Trend?On May 16, 2009, for the third time this month an interesting development occurred in the Pick 4 Lottery game across the country. For the third time, the same four digits repeated themselves (not in exact order) in the very next draw (Indiana's Hoosier Daily 4 Lottery, Kentucky Pick 4, and Oregon Pick 4 Lottery). On March 8, 2009, in the New York Win 4, 8056 repeated itself in exact order in both the Midday and Evening draws. This occurrence's odds are in the range of a million to one. It is indeed a very rare experience especially in back-to-back drawings & in exact order according to my research. Indiana's Hoosier Daily 4 Lottery drew the same number, 8056, on March 13, 2009. On March 5, 2009 the other form 8506 was drawn. The Georgia Cash 4 Lottery drew the 0568 on March 14, 2009. For any Pick 4 Player, I imagine, curiosity raised some questions: Does this happen often? Should I include this as a trend? Though it is a very interesting occurrence, the answer to both questions is "NO", and certainly not in back-to-back Pick 4 drawings. These occurrences are few and far between based on my extensive studies of the Pick 4 Lottery Games around the country. Below is the list of Pick 4 numbers (four digits) that I found through my research that repeated themselves: Delaware Pick 4........2361 > 6321........4 draws.
Like "8056" of the New York Win 4 fame travelled around to other State Pick 4 Lottery Games after its repeat performance, the Indiana Hoosier Daily 4 Winning Numbers of May 16, 2009 Midday and Evening Draws....9873 & 3978 may have a similar "Strong Number" movement. I say this, because the same date evening draw in the Massachusetts' Lotto "The Numbers" Game produced.....7938, and it was earlier drawn in The Numbers Game on May 3, 2009 as....3987. These particular Pick 4 number occurrences may point out the number as a "strong" number. The number has lasting power. The number may hang around, and re-appear again some short time later in other State Daily 4 Lottery games. On May 1, 2009, in the 1pm Oregon State Pick 4 Lottery drawing, the 8056 was the Winning Number. Unlike the Pick 3 Lottery Game where the total number of possibilities are 1,000 instead of 10,000, it seems that numbers in this game have a higher chance of repeating themselves, but at the same million to one odds. But again, I would not claim this to be a trend in this game either. Keep an eye open for a form of this number coming to your State's Daily Pick 4 Game (possibly playing off one of the already drawn numbers).
